Cheese Fritters (Cheese Kay Pakoray)

Cheesy fritters are so good in taste. Use good quality of cheese so that you may enjoy its real taste. These cheese fritters goes well with green chutney.

Yield: Serves 6  

Ingredients: 

  • Cottage cheese: 1 packet (grated)
  • Gram flour: 1 cup
  • Egg: 1
  • Yogurt: 1 tsp
  • Soda bicarbonate: 1/2 tsp
  • Green coriander: 1 bunch (chopped)
  • Green chilies: 6 (chopped) 
  • Red chili: 4 (fresh)
  • White cumin: 1 tsp 
  • Chicken cube: 1
  • Salt: to taste 
  • Oil: as required

Directions:

  1. Add in gram flour, egg, yogurt, soda bi carbonate, green coriander, green chilies, red chilies, white cumin, chicken cube and salt in a bowl and mix it with luke warm water 
  2. Add in cottage cheese. 
  3. Heat the oil and deep fry the pakora in the pan till they are golden brown. 
  4. Take them out on a tissue paper. 
  5. Serve them hot with tamarind chutney or tomato ketchup.
