Gulab jamun is a dessert often eaten at festivals or major celebrations. It is a popular dessert in countries of the Subcontinent such as India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.

  Ingredients:  

  • Flour 125 gram
  • Rang kaat 2 pints
  • Pistachio as required
  • Skimmed milk 375 gram
  • Ghee 1 kg
  • Sugar 250 gram
  • Ammonium 1/4 tsp
  • Soda 1/4 tsp
  • Water 1 liter

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. 
  2. Take a bowl and add 2 cups of ghee and milk powder in it. 
  3. Mix it by adding little water slowly. 
  4. Then add soda, rang kaat, amonium and water. mix well. 
  5. Add flour and mix well. 
  6. Put the mixter in refrigerator to get it cool. 
  7. Now add sugar and half liter water in a pan to make sugar syrup. 
  8. Now make the small balls of the cooled mixture. 
  9. Fry the balls on low flame, till golden brown. 
  10. Now dip the fried balls in the sugar syrup. 
  11. When get ready take out in a dish and ganish with pistachio and serve.
